Frequently asked questions

Is every number equally likely?

Yes. Each number in the range is one slice, drawn with your browser's cryptographic generator and the NIST discard method. From 1 to 10, each number has exactly 10% per spin.

Why did the same number come up twice?

Repeats are common: spinning 5 times from 1 to 20, at least one number repeats 41.9% of the time. To avoid them, open Options and tick "Remove the winner after each spin". Changing the range puts every number back.

What range can I use?

Any whole numbers, negative included, up to 500 numbers on the wheel. Swap From and To and the wheel still works. Past about 60 numbers the labels get small on a phone.

Can I use it as a dice?

Set 1 to 6: each face has 16.7%, like a fair die. For two dice, spin twice and add.
